Megacubo is an intuitive, multi-language, cross-platform and open source M3U IPTV player developed by Edenilson Lisboa that offers a range of TV channels in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

The challenge

Megacubo’s monetization model relied on Pay Per Install (PPI) offers and bundling third party tools with the application’s installer. Including third party applications sometimes caused Megacubo to be flagged by anti-virus applications.

The solution

Megacubo enables users to watch live TV from IPTV lists (M3U). Integrating Bright SDK into Megacubo enables users to enjoy Megacubo Premium, which allows them to record live broadcasts and stream to their TV via Chromecast or DLNA.

The outcome

Integrating Bright SDK into its platform allowed Megacubo to move to a safe and clean freemium solution and stop integrating 3rd party apps into its content, without compromising on revenue. Bright Data’s SDK team assisted Megacubo with AppEsteem certification, which verifies that Megacubo adheres to the highest standards of security and transparency and provides its users with peace of mind.
