Snake is based on a simple concept. The player’s goal is to move the snake and eat as many “food” blocks as possible. When the food is eaten, the snake grows in length. The snake must never hit a wall, or itself!
The challenge
Snake’s monetization model relied on ads being displayed during gameplay. However, with users subjected to one or more ads at the end of each stage of the game, this had a negative impact on user experience, leading to high rates of user churn.
The solution
Integrating Bright SDK into Snake allowed the developers to offer users a premium, ad-free experience without asking for payment. Bright SDK works in the background and does not display any ads, enabling users to enjoy an uninterrupted gameplay experience.
The outcome
Revenue generated by Bright SDK was the same or more than the previous ad revenue, while the user experience was vastly improved due to the elimination of ads during gameplay. As a result, user retention and the user’s lifetime value (LTV) has grown significantly.
