Bright SDK Acceptable Partnership Policy
At Bright SDK, we are committed to maintaining a safe, ethical, and compliant network. We carefully review every application to ensure it meets our ethical guidelines before approval.
To protect our ecosystem and users, we consider partnership requests under the following guidelines:
Restricted Verticals
We do not partner with applications, developers, or entities involved in or facilitating the following activities and verticals:
- Adult & Sexually Explicit Content
- Apps containing pornography/explicit sexual content, adult services, or sexually explicit chat/cam/escort content.
- Illegal Drugs & Controlled Substances
- Facilitation, sale, distribution, or promotion of illegal drugs/controlled substances.
- Piracy, IP Infringement & Circumvention
- Torrents, illegal streaming/IPTV, cracked software, keygens, warez, or tools/services that bypass DRM/paywalls or enable infringement.
- Malware, Spyware & Unauthorized Access (Hacking) Tools
- Malware distribution, spyware/stalkerware, credential theft, exploit kits, RATs, “phone monitoring” without consent, hacking tools, or instructions intended for unauthorized access.
- Fraud, Scams & Deceptive Practices
- Phishing, impersonation, pyramid/Ponzi schemes, fake giveaways, “get rich quick,” ad fraud, chargeback fraud, or any product/service built to mislead users
- Gambling & Betting (Real Money / Unlicensed)
- Real-money gambling, betting, sweepstakes casinos, or unlicensed gambling facilitation (including where licensing/compliance is unclear).
- Invasive Tracking, Data Brokerage & Sale of Personal Data
- Apps that collect, infer, trade, or sell personal/sensitive data (e.g., location, contacts, device fingerprints) beyond what’s necessary for core function, or without clear user consent.
- Illegal Services / Criminal Facilitation
- Any app/service that facilitates illegal activity (e.g., stolen goods, forged documents, money laundering, “for hire” illegal services), or violates applicable laws/regulations.
- Crypto Mining & Cryptojacking
- Apps that mine crypto (especially in the background), use device resources without explicit informed consent, or encourage “install-to-mine” schemes.
- Botnet, Traffic Manipulation & Click-Farm Activity (expand “Botnet activity”)
- Coordinated device/traffic manipulation (botnets), artificial clicks/impressions, fake installs, automated engagement, or any attempt to generate non-human traffic.
Underage Apps
We do not allow our SDK to be integrated in apps targeting children under 13. Partners are responsible for notifying Bright Data when an app is, or becomes, directed to children and otherwise ensuring their apps comply with relevant laws. In addition to our KYP (Know Your Partner) policy, we implemented several steps to limit Bright SDK to children under 13, including the following:
- Apps owned and operated by Bright Data are published on app stores with an age rating of 13+. This means that if a platform supports parental controls for app downloads and the parental controls were enabled in the device, Bright Data’s apps will not even be displayed in the relevant app store to children under 13.
- When we advertise our owned and operated apps, we ask our advertising partners not to show our ads to users under the age of 13.
- On platforms that have parental control, and Bright Data is able to identify that the user is defined in the age 0-12 years, the Bright SDK will not be available.
Restricted Jurisdictions
We do not partner with OFAC-sanctioned entities (companies or individuals) or restricted jurisdictions, including but not limited to the jurisdictions listed here: https://help.bright-sdk.com/hc/en-us/articles/34430478738577-Are-there-any-country-restrictions-for-Bright-SDK.
Compliance & Enforcement
KYP (Know Your Partner): publishers who wish to participate in the Bright SDK program are engaged by one of our partnership managers. As part of onboarding, we assess the publisher and the intended use cases/ apps to confirm they do not fall into any prohibited category listed above. If approved, the publisher may begin integrating the Bright SDK and submit each app for our review prior to activation.
Application Review: As set out in our partnership agreements, Bright’s Compliance team reviews every app submission to protect the integrity of the Bright SDK network. Until the review is completed and the app is explicitly approved, the app will not be connected to the network and will not be eligible for payouts. We also conduct periodic re-reviews of approved apps (including reviews triggered by signals such as user complaints, policy updates, or anomalous activity).
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or disable any app that violates our guidelines, remove it from the network, and withhold payments associated with non-compliant activity.
If you have questions regarding your app’s eligibility, please contact our team at [email protected]
