As part of our commitment to excellence, we believe our users deserve to have access to the finest applications. To maintain this standard, we have established the following guidelines for app developers submitting their creations for Bright SDK review.

Creating high quality apps will not only delight your users, it will also enable you to maximize your Bright SDK revenue. Please adhere to these guidelines to increase the chances of your app being accepted.

Our Quality Standards

  • Purposeful Functionality:

Your app should serve a clear and valuable purpose, providing users with real entertainment, or value. Apps should have meaningful functionality and/or solve a problem or need. Avoid creating apps that are boring, excessively simple, lack purpose, or merely replicate existing apps without significant improvements. Ask yourself: would I install this app as a real user? would I use it for more than a few minutes? would I uninstall it or not?

  • User-Friendly Interface:

Design your app with an intuitive and polished user interface that enhances the overall user experience. Pay attention to the visual aesthetics, layout, and interaction elements, ensuring they are cohesive and visually appealing. Strive for simplicity and clarity in your design, avoiding cluttered or confusing interfaces. Invest in quality audio effects.

  • Performance and Responsiveness:

Your app should work well. This means verifying it does not crash, and ensuring smooth and responsive operation across different devices and network conditions. It should load quickly, respond promptly to user input, and utilize system resources efficiently.

  • Reliability and Stability:

Test your app thoroughly to eliminate crashes, freezes, and other stability issues. Users should have confidence in the reliability of your app, and it should gracefully handle error conditions without data loss or unexpected behavior.

Important: apps should be tested on a real device (i.e tablet, iPhone, Fire TV, LG TV, etc.) and not an emulator prior to submission.

  • Compatibility and Adaptability:

Ensure your app is compatible with the target platform and takes advantage of platform-specific features when appropriate. It should seamlessly adapt to different screen sizes, resolutions, orientations, and device capabilities. For example, apps for TV should not include any touch controls.

  • Accessibility and Localization:

Bright SDK is used around the globe by different users types. Consider the diverse needs of your users and strive to make your app accessible to individuals with disabilities. Implement accessibility features, such as support for screen readers and alternative input methods. Additionally, localize your app to make it available in multiple languages and adapt to regional preferences. Bright SDK itself is localized to dozens of languages!
